What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is a non-invasive treatment designed to help you develop, maintain, and restore muscular strength, promoting the full range of movement and normal physical function. Physical therapy may be a standalone treatment, or it may be used in conjunction with other therapies. Some patients are referred to a physical therapist by their doctor, while others may seek therapy themselves. No matter what your situation is, the goal of physical therapy is the same; to help you recover from an injury, relieve pain, deal with a chronic condition, or prevent future injuries. Our therapists will diagnose your injuries by conducting an evaluation, which includes a medical history and a physical examination. Based on this information, your physical therapist will structure a treatment plan, monitor your progress, and provide some manual (hands-on) support for exercises.
